How to make sure you fail all your eoys

Everywhere you can find tips on how to excel in your exams. But no one gives tips on how to fail them. Well, look no further! Here's exactly what you need to get what you want! :D

LA - Insist on writing a one-sided arguement. What's the point of writing a balanced arguement if in the end you're gona take one side?

HCL - Sleep through it or bring chemistry and history to study during the eoys. Only the o levels matter to you. After finishing studying or finally waking up, lament how much time you have left until end of exam.

History - You're a peace loving person. Wars never happened in your opinion. What ww2? You referring to the great singapore sale isit? Who's hitler? Your new maid right?

Physics - When you study, your brain heats up. Heating increases resistance to thinking. Hence to ensure maximum efficiency during eoys, you dont study.

Chemistry - Insist that electrons, protons, neutrons, etc. , dont exist coz you cant see them. 'Seeing is believing' is your personal motto.

Biology - Study the anatomy of all animals except humans and study the ecology of humans

Math - Dont bring calculator coz your brain can 'count as fast and as accurate'. You can even remember the exact figures of pi, which is 3.14..., erm..., 3.14..., (you pick the next number randomly, it will be less than 5 so that you can round down to 3sf.)

Most effortless way: You're a neat freak. Putting ink or graphite on paper dirties the paper. Hence, to keep the paper clean, you dont write at all.

Disclaimer: These methods are not tried out yet so there's no 100% success rate. These methods do not work on smart arses as they are too smart to fail. These methods work especially well for lazy and dumb people like yours truly.

yknow, going through today really made me think.
firstly, today's interclass really reemphasized a fact to everyone, that
it is the journey that matters,
it is what we put in that counts,
it is the effort that is seen,
not the result.

I'm just really glad that our class has bonded in some way or another, people realizing that how much do class ties really matter. Well, the best sword is forged under the strongest fire and flame. It is after going through everything, that makes us stronger at the end of it.

Well i think what we brought back to class was something that couldn't be bought. It was priceless.

I don't know how to explain this feeling, but it just feels like I'm in the most awesome class ever. Which I'm very, very, very, very, very, glad about. :D

We've put our hearts into so many events/competitions together and achieved so much, so maybe it's time we experience failure together. Because this is when we learn what we didn't know before. This is when we realise that each and every one of us will be there for each other no matter what happens. No matter what the result is, no matter if we win or lose, no matter if we gained shame or glory, we will share them with each other. Because what's really important is that, we're one big family who sincerely care (DAMN ALOT) about each other.

Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. Or forgotten.

Regarding today's match, all I want to say is, I know we could have done better.
A thousand what-ifs were running through my head when the whistle was blown.

What if we were a little less nervous?
What if I ran a little faster for that ball?
What if we didn't look at each other nervously and expect each other to get the ball?
What if I served better?

We were just too nervous, and underperformed. But it's nobody's fault.
I mean, even the captain, who's supposed to be the calmest of them all, was shaking.
If even she was scared, how was she going to convince her team that they could do it? :/
And so, the captain wants to say that she's sorry.

BUT. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT.
The most precious thing isn't even about the fact that we could have won.
It's that we didn't give up till the end. And, I think that, the last few points that we managed to fight back were the most, most, most precious ones. :D

AND AND AND AND AND.
Am really touched when I heard voices of so many guys encouraging us and telling us that we were great. Really, really, really appreciate them. :D
Thanks for doing the cheer with us anyway, it felt greeeeeaaaat. :)

We won. The bonding in our class, ultimately achieved the exact aims of the interclass. To promote class bonding, isn't it?

The loud cheers and whoosh-es, I dare say, cannot be done with more enthusiasm and pure class spirit and belonging.

It's the experience, not the results that matter. Some people win, but they've won without including everyone, without working together per se, won with the wrong attitude (I am not saying any of the classes, just stating generally). If we did so too, I'd rather we not win. That's from the heart. We worked hard together, bonded together, strengthened friendships, gained skills. Isn't that worth more than a title? It's priceless. :)

So, hold your head up high gbiters! Knowing we're the best to us, to Mrs Low, is enough. Because we know best. :) Gigabites rule.

Tests, tests and more tests ._.

As promised, I've added notices of the various tests we've in term 1 and 2, which are truly numerous :O

While loading the index page of the blog, you'll see an embedded calendar with listed dates (if given) and weeks for our tests. This is all according to the information from the test schedule which you'd be able to find on our class notice board as well (once I pin it up).

For the calendar, you can toggle between the views of week (which is pretty much useless), month and agenda. Personally, I prefer the month view so that's the default view :D You can also click on the different events which'd provide you with more information of the event (if there are).

I'll be adding on the birthdays of all the Gbiters later on. Are there requests for anything else to be added?

By the way, placing the calendar on the welcome page does seem a tad out of place, can someone suggest a better location?

It's quite last minute but come okay! :D

For those that didn't pick up your phone but wondered why Chun called you/Edmund smsed you, it's because there's a Christmas gathering tonight! :D Somewhat, a class gathering but too pathetic a showing (so far) to be called a class ._.

Anyways, the wonderfully gracious Edmund (with his super on parents) are hosting. And, we'll be playing Mahjong haha. Or whatever other games you bring :) The few who are not enraptured by the pure refulgence of Mj can try to get addicted now! Mahjong is like super fun! :D

So, 10 PM at Serangoon MRT. It's still kind of tentative, but contact Chun/Edmund if you have any queries, because if you ask me I have to end up calling them up anyways. Or, proceed directly to 114 TaiKeng Gardens. Bring some food okay, snacks and or drinks, your call.

Well... Only 10 of us turned up. But for those who missed the outing to look at hunks and babes, here are some pics to make you regret.

Highlight of the day: The dunking of edmund into the sea.

Not adviced to buy any food or dwinks from there, v ex.

Okay people. tomorrow supposed to go sentosa beach to look at bikini babes and relax for one day. people who're coming please meet at 930 at harbourfront mrt. and please tell me or gen that you're going cos then we'll know if we need for anybody. haha thanks. also do rmb to bring a bottle of water cos its damn hot there, both cos of the sun and the babes. anyway please rmb to wear proper attire, no bikinis or trunks please. bring food for picnic at the beach? haha i dunno, its up to youall to decide.

On the other hand, there's a class chalet for us finally! Date is 12, 13 dec. Friday and saturday at 42 pasir ris ave, S510709. Can take bus 403 to the end of pasir ris park to slowly wander there. Okay actually i think most people still dunno where the chalet is, actually i dont too. hawhaw. ._. so please do bring a map or smt and do not get lost on your way to the chalet cos pasir ris park is quite big. haha thanks.

-All the audition rounds will be held in MediaCorp and behind closed doors.
-All applicants must be dressed in their school uniform on the registration and audition days.

Here goes...For those who didnt come for class outing today, please grieve and mourn =x It was fantastic! Full of fun, full of wet gals and guys, and of course not to forget, full of balls! WET WET ONES TOO! Lolol shall stop the 'ball' stuff in case ppl lyk BREN! CS! and REUBIE! get toooo horny for their own good. Bowling was sorta great. Apparently our class has future models. Lol wif all dat catwalking and strutting at the entrance of the bowling alley, people would have tot dat they were advertising the alley -.- Future models include --> CS ( sexycatwalker), Bren ( Silent and cool strutter ), Cs ( James bond would look inferior ), Denise and Jill ( Walked normally, guess its cuz they strut around everyday so nth seems special ) LOL dun kill me kay?

Kfc was fantastic. Hope all of you guys are having stomach aches now while you're reading dis ^^ Balling was great. WET BALLS! Aft dat the peeps played a game of concentration aka game of messed up rhythms according to me.

Aft ppl lyk Denise, Zy, Kl and Cs won the most messed up rhythms award, we continued on our journey to the east. Back home! Bus ride was fantastic nevertheless. Gigabites was fun =x Its a good game to pit the strengths and weaknesses of your fellow classmates against one another! Apparently the imba characters of the game are Rachel, Jiamin, Lu lao lao, Zf, Kajun and even jill wif her ear piercing scream. Wan ear holes? Find jill. Free ear piercing screams. Do you remember that our school is originally at Tanjong Rhu? *Shocked face* Well, surprise!! It IS AT TANJONG RHU! So, the will be a homecoming ceremony. The ceremony does not refer to those homecoming where people dance those kind. But rather, it really is homecoming, which means to WELCOME HOME TO Dunman High.So, we need to deisgn a cheer of less than a minute, and the cheer should be a mix of english and chinese. Props are highly encouraged!! And so is simple actions! Therefore, there will be a class meeting back in 3G CLASSROOM immediately after school. How to pass your eoys

Before the arrival of 'dooms' week, weiqi presents to you...

5 tips to guarantee your success in your eoys!
Oh yea. I hope someone reads it...

1 - Use a ball point pen. So that when you are dripping of sweat within the hall, you wont smear your answers, resulting in the teacher trying to decipher your handwriting.

2 - Answer in legible english. Well, you won't want the teacher to misunderstand your ugly handwriting as another language. They do not need you to test their proficiency in the usage of a translator.

3 - Sleep sufficiently, not too little, not too much. Too little sleep would prevent you from concentrating for your eoys. But too little would prevent you from falling asleep after finishing and checking your papers. Surely, you won't want to stay awake for the next 30 minutes(if you finish early) staring into space or re-checking your answers again and again?

4 - Know who is sitting beside you. So that you would consider twice whether it is wise to copy their answers. But then again, you might never know when they might lend a helping hand.

5 - Talk to weiqi. Guarantees that you would feel twice as confident as before knowing that she studied everything at the very last minute. Makes you feel superior knowing that weiqi would always be below you.

That's all folks! Stick to these simple tips and also those given by your teachers, exams should be a breeze. Good luck and jiayou to all! =D

Okay class, I understand the there is a bit too much confusion on what you have to wear.
So, here's the deal:

Our movie theme is now changed to ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS due to the rejection of our previous theme. So right now, what we have to wear are RED, BLUE, OR GREEN shirts and jeans or school bottoms. For those who had bought clothes especially for the ex-theme of Step up, you can still wear it. But, I still expect majority of us to wear the RED, BLUE, OR GREEN shirts due toi simplicity sake. For the guys, a message was sent out to you by Jiamin. You can choose between wearing the RED, BLUE, OR GREEN shirts, or the one suggested by jiamin, because it is both related to the theme. I hope this will clear your doubts. Feel free to call me or drop me a msg anytime if there is any enquires. Thanks, and I really want to apoplogise for all the confusion and last minute changes that had to be done. Sorry:(
